About 18–24 days at sea. Door-to-door, counting loading at your address, the voyage, customs clearance in Gdynia and delivery to your address in Poland, a shipment through Savannah typically takes 5–6 weeks. The exact time depends on the sailing date, so we confirm it in your quote.

Plan the paperwork around your moving date. For export by ship, the car and its documents have to be presented to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at least 72 hours before export, so this can't wait until the last day. CBP requires the original certificate of title, or a certified copy of it, and two complete copies. For a leased car, or one with a lien, you'll also need a letter on the lender's or leasing company's letterhead expressly allowing the export. After that, your car can travel in the same 40HC as your furniture, provided it's empty inside.

Not necessarily. Duty relief on household goods applies when you move your residence to Poland from outside the EU and meet its conditions. According to the Polish government portal powroty.gov.pl, the goods must belong to someone whose place of residence was outside the EU for at least 12 months, and physically living somewhere without intending to stay permanently does not establish residence, nor does that intention alone without actually living there. You must also have owned and used the goods at your previous residence for at least 6 months before you stopped living there, and you must use them for the same purpose in your new home. If you only spend part of the year in Florida, check these conditions before you count on relief. The customs authority decides each case, and duty relief does not by itself mean relief from VAT or excise duty. Check with your HOA or community management first: ask whether a 40-foot container can be parked in your driveway or on the street outside your house while you load, and whether a truck can get through the gate. Put what they tell you in your request, and when we prepare your quote we confirm whether the container can be placed at your address. You then load it yourself within a set loading window, and extra time is billed by the hour. If you'd rather not lift, our staff can load it for an extra fee where that's available in your area.

Yes. We ship cars bought at Copart and IAAI auctions to Poland in 40-foot containers. Send us the VIN or lot number and we'll quote it. When we prepare your quote, we confirm how the car gets from the auction yard to the loading port and which port it will sail from.
