Call +1 973 372 1100 before you come. Smaller loads go in a shared container (LCL), priced per cubic meter with a 1 m³ minimum, and a few boxes fit within that minimum charge. You can also have your boxes delivered to the warehouse address by a carrier, and we'll combine them into one shipment.

It's up to you. We place a 40-foot high-cube at your address and you load it yourself within an agreed loading window. Extra time beyond that window is billed by the hour, and a partial hour counts as a full hour, so it pays to have everything packed and a few people to help. If you'd rather skip the heavy lifting, our crew can load the container for an extra fee. Mention it in your quote request and we'll confirm availability in your area and include it in your quote.

If you live in Greenpoint, Ridgewood or elsewhere in New York City, we check at quote whether a truck with a 40-foot container can stop at your address, so describe your street and the space in front of your home in your request. If it can't stop at your door, bring your things to our warehouse in Irvington, NJ. Smaller amounts can go in a shared container, starting from 1 m³.

Yes. Of our US loading ports, New Jersey has the shortest sailing. From the Port of New York and New Jersey to Gdynia it takes about 16–20 days, from Savannah about 18–24 days, from Houston about 24–30 days and from Los Angeles about 30–38 days. Counting loading, the sailing, customs clearance and delivery, shipping from New Jersey usually takes 4–6 weeks door to door. The exact time depends on when the vessel sails, so we confirm it in your quote.

Yes, if your lender or leasing company agrees in writing. When there's a lien on the car or it's leased, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires, on top of the title, a separate letter from the lender or leasing company that expressly allows the car to be exported. The letter must be on their letterhead, describe the car in full with its VIN, give the name of the owner or lienholder and phone numbers where they can be reached, and carry an original signature and the date it was signed. The car and all its documents must be presented to CBP at least 72 hours before export by sea, so ask your lender for the letter early, before you book the container.

We ship cars bought at Copart and IAAI auctions to Poland in 40-foot containers. The loading port and timing depend on where the car is, so we confirm both in your quote. Include the VIN or lot number in your request.

The Polish government portal powroty.gov.pl says you can document an uninterrupted stay of at least 12 months outside the EU with, for example, an employment contract concluded for at least 12 months, a tax office certificate showing you paid taxes for at least 12 months, or monthly phone bills paid without a break for at least 12 months. That stay is one of the conditions for bringing your household goods into Poland free of duty. The relief also requires, among other things, that the goods belong to you and that you had them in your possession and used them for at least 6 months before you moved. Duty relief doesn't automatically mean relief from VAT or excise duty. You give us your documents together with a power of attorney for the customs clearance, and you'll find the power of attorney and the household inventory on our Forms page (lesniewski.com/en/forms). The customs authority decides on the relief.
